Cheryl Lescom and Chuckee Zehr are both great performers, and when they come together it is legendary! Chuckee Zehr is a classically trained pianist with a voice reminiscent of Janis Joplin, while Cheryl Lescom has been said to have one of the biggest and best voices in Canada.

RICK TAYLOR BAND

Three must-see musicians in the same band! Guitarist Rick Taylor is a recipient of the Jimmy Lewis "Lifetime of the Blues Award" and a three-time winner of The Great Lakes Blues Society's "Road to Memphis" competition. Bass player Thomas Nelson has performed extensively in the Niagara Falls, NY, music scene, and earned induction into the 2020 Music Hall of Fame. Drummer Dale-Anne has worked with Canadian Rock legend Randy Bachman and regularly performs with the Stratford Festival of Canada, contributing to musicals like RENT, TOMMY, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, and Billy Elliot.

John Powers, originally from Saskatchewan, is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who now lives in Huron County, Ontario. With a rich performance history across Canada, including collaborations with Feist and Les Batinses, his music blends folk, roots, and global influences. His lyrics span poignant love songs, humorous pirate tales, and poetic reflections on hurricanes and innocence.

East Street Cider Co. - Starting at 7:30
Scott Wicken, from Waterloo, began by performing spoken word poetry across Canada before transitioning to songwriting in the early '90s. Now with hundreds of original lyric-driven songs under his belt, his work blends serious social themes, heartfelt ballads, and irreverent comedy, all supported by his skilled finger-style guitar playing and dazzling wordplay.

MATTHEW HUSSEY
Chucks Roadhouse - Starting at 7:30
Matthew Hussey, a Goderich native, debuted his self-titled album in 2011, marking his first solo release outside of his role as the frontman for rock band Boy in December. He followed up with Cerulean in 2014, Battle for a Billion Thoughts in 2020, and Rove in 2022. His melody-driven music features acoustic guitars, strings, and piano, with Hussey playing all instruments on each album. His thoughtful, moody songs showcase a classic, timeless songwriting style.

THE NEVER WILL-BILLIES

Every Tuesday night, the Royal Canadian Legion in Galt, Ontario, hosts the Waterloo Wellington Bluegrass Music Association where members put on a vibrant showcase of talent with impressive fretboard skills and harmonies. It was at one of these gatherins in 2023 where Stephen Greenwell (banjo), Lucas Last (stand-up bass, vocals), and Brent Hagerman (guitar, vocals) first met. Originally from Glasgow, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and New Brunswick respectively, these three musicians now reside in the Grand River valley. Their repertoire blends traditional bluegrass with progressive and modern influences.

DARREN STECKLE

Influenced by blues, jazz, country, alternative, and bluegrass, Darren Steckle is a must-see singer-songwriter. Steckle recently won the solo competition at the Regional International Blues Challenge Qualifier held at The Bruce in Kincardine. His victory secured him a week in Memphis to compete in the International Blues Challenge, the largest blues contest in the world with over 200 bands.
